Be an astronaut for a day! In this mission to Mars, your group is traveling to the Red Planet to replace a crew of astronauts who have been living there for the past two years. In addition to landing on the Martian surface, the team collects and analyzes geologic samples and launches exploratory probes to the two moons of Mars. The excitement takes place in the Museum's Challenger Learning Center, a facility designed to simulate space missions for large groups using a full-scale mission control center and a spacecraft cabin. Each mission uses hands-on activities engaging participants in teamwork, communication, problem-solving and critical thinking. And it is fun! $15, $10 ages 10 to 17, those younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult, pre-register by Oct. 19. Museum admission not included.
